Mr. Idli was born on a fine day in the historical, heritage city of Mysore in 2009. It commenced business from a small outlet managed by Chef Abdul himself with the help of his friend Prashanth in a non-descript locality.
The idea was a bold one – to innovate with traditional cuisine.
What started as a simple wish to serve Mysoreans with healthy, tasty and affordable local cuisine became so popular for its diversity, creativity and quality that by 2011, Mr. Idli was offering franchises. By 2014, an R & D unit along with a manufacturing unit to produce standardised menu product for all outlets was set up.
Mr. Idli went from beginning operations in a space no more than 200 square feet, to one that now measures a whopping 20,000 square feet in area with Manufacturing, R&D, Training Institute & Communication Office, offering livelihoods to more than 50,000 individuals across the Globe.
